  ACISCA's Profile: Emerging Critical Issues in Asia:
  Asia is a dynamic society undergoing significant socio- political and economic changes. As a whole the traditional societies of Asia are modernized at a more rapid pace than even before
  Yet, poverty and misery are still the major issues for millions of people in Asia. The resulting misery and disillusionment leads to communal conflicts, racial and ethnic prejudices, and threat to peace and democracy in the region.
  Globalization not only eroded the environment and plunged the resources, but also restricted our Governments to pursue its social goals such as health, education social welfare measures to cater to the needs of the poorest of the poor.
  Programs:
1.Christian Lay Leadership Training once in four years and regional CLLT once in two years.
  2. Staff exchange between one center and another and between countries, among the ACISCA member centers
  3.Consultation/seminars/workshops on relevant issues such as Globalization, Indigenous People, Women Empowerment, Visioning a Culture of Non-Violence,Capacity Building etc.,
  4.Youth Assembly for ACISCA youth once in four years
  5.Dialogue for Peaceful Change (DPC)
  Membership:
ACISCA active centers are spread in Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines, Pakistan, Bangladesh, India, and Sri. Lanka and Hong Kong. ACISCA welcomes members from other Asian Countries. ACISCA welcomes donations from its members
  Fees:
The annual membership is US $ 200. In order to become member the applicant needs two ACISCA members recommendation from the same country.
